「・」加賀の國額田の庄・加納八田の庄御年貢用途の事、地下を請けず損否、毎年肆（よん）百貫文、未進の懈怠なし其沙汰を致すべき候、若し縡寄り（きより）左右に於いて、一塵（いちじん）不法の事爲（たる）候えばと雖も、公方訴え申さるるべき也、更に子細申すべからず候、仍って請け文の状の件の如し

近江の守教貞判(p.172)

This document refers to a pledge made by Asahi Tokimoto and Norisada, both members of a daikan family overseeing the Nukata no Shō and Hatta no Shō, that they would ensure that the four hundred outstanding kanmon that were meant to be paid to Naka no In Michihide would be paid, and that non-payment up until now was not a result of any negligence or illegal activity on the part of the Asahi family.
